Finding Humour in Faith

Proverbs 17:22 says, ‘A cheerful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones.’ (NIV) I do not know about you but there is one thing I never want to be: a lemon sucker. When we are called to be the salt and light, I want to reflect this—to be full of life and hope and laughter. A cheerful heart. Stuff in life happens and we all make mistakes but being able to laugh can help lighten our spiritual load. I hope I never take myself too seriously as it says more about my ego, vanity and pride. Good laughter with good friends lets the air out and helps us to handle life with grace and dignity when things do not go according to plan.
