Embracing Your Identity

I think one of the most important parts to who we are is knowing who we belong to- a daughter of the Most High King. It is our DNA, our heritage and our legacy. It is not based on a platform or account; on image or on what we do and how we perform but in what Jesus did for us. In Him, we have an unshakeable peace and security in knowing we are loved and chosen. We belong. One of my favourite verses is 1 Peter 2:9, ‘But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light’ (NIV)

In knowing this, let our posture change from defeat into one of victory. We are loved unconditionally. We are forgiven and redeemed. We are chosen and valued.
